Clever Gear is an acceleration partner for world-class consumer technology brands scaling across Australia and New Zealand. The team has backgrounds across Tesla, Apple, and Google Smart Home - and they operate as an extension of the brands they represent, not just a route to shelf. Their retail footprint spans JB Hi-Fi, Bunnings, Costco, Officeworks, and Harvey Norman, with a dedicated e-commerce operation that most competitors in the space avoid entirely.
The company has grown from three people to a team of ten in sales and marketing since 2022, and the pipeline is still moving.
The Role
New accounts are closing. The sales team is focused on deals. What the business needs now is someone who makes sure the back-end keeps pace.
You will be the day-to-day operational contact for a portfolio of Tier 2 accounts - processing orders accurately, maintaining pricing, answering customer queries, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. You will also take the administrative load off the Account Manager on the larger Tier 1 accounts, so he can focus on selling.
This is not a revenue role. It is an operational one - and it is designed to be a stepping stone. The product knowledge, systems fluency, and customer relationships you build here are what gets you into an Associate Account Manager position with your own commercial targets.
Clever Gear is not looking for someone who has done this before. They are looking for someone genuinely obsessed with consumer technology, accurate enough to be trusted with the back-end, and disciplined enough to work independently most of the week.

What You'll Do
Own day-to-day operations for a portfolio of Tier 2 accounts - orders, pricing, customer queries, and account records
Support the Account Manager on Tier 1 accounts, taking the admin load so he can focus on selling
Enter and process orders accurately and on time, coordinating with operations and logistics through to fulfilment
Maintain customer pricing, promotional pricing, and trading terms across the CRM and ERP
Prepare promotional and ranging submissions and keep retailer portals and compliance requirements current
Keep the CRM current and flag anything that needs attention before it becomes a problem
What We're Looking For
Genuine passion for consumer technology - you know the products and you care about them
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail - you get things right first time
Strong follow-through - you track what you start, respond fast, and do not drop things
Comfortable reading and working with data, Excel, and a CRM
Self-driven from home - you do not need structure to stay on top of your work
Clear, professional written communication

$60,000 base + superannuation, negotiable for the right candidate
Performance bonus of up to 10% of base salary, linked to operational targets
