This role keeps our C&I battery systems safe, compliant, and practical in the field. You lead design integrity, electrical safety, and on-site decisions that shape how our systems run. You work hands on with R&D and production to test live units, fix issues early, and make sure every system we ship works in the real world.

You will hold, or work toward, the QTP responsibility that anchors the technical standard of the business.

What you’ll take ownership of

• Guiding system design and build decisions through strong electrical knowledge and compliance insight
• Translating AS/NZS standards into clear, workable guidance for engineering and manufacturing teams
• Running live testing and validation on active systems
• Acting as RedEarth’s QTP, holding the company’s electrical licence (or working toward it)
• Partnering with R&D to develop, test, and refine new products and containerised systems
• Supporting major C&I projects from design to commissioning

What you bring

• Licensed electrician (unrestricted) with 10+ years’ experience
• Deep understanding of Australian electrical and safety standards (AS/NZS 3000, 5139, 4777)
• Hands on experience with batteries, solar, HV or LV installations
• Able to test live systems and make sound field decisions
• Comfortable guiding engineers, installers, and production teams
• Good communicator who works well with R&D, manufacturing, and on-site crews
• Ready to train for QTP if not already certified

Nice to have

• Experience with containerised C&I systems
• Experience in oil and gas, heavy industry, or other high-risk electrical work
• Experience with large battery systems (25 kW to 1 MW)
