This role keeps our C&I battery systems safe, compliant, and practical in the field. You lead system integrity, electrical safety, and on-site technical decisions that shape how our battery systems perform in the real world. Working hands on with R&D and production, you test live units, resolve issues early, and make sure every system we ship performs safely and reliably once deployed.

You act as a technical authority for RedEarth’s battery and BESS platforms, anchoring standards, safety, and real-world performance across design, testing, and commissioning.

What you’ll take ownership of

• Guiding battery system design and build decisions through strong electrical and BESS knowledge

• Translating AS/NZS standards into clear, workable guidance for engineering, manufacturing, and installation teams

• Running live testing, validation, and commissioning support on active battery systems

• Acting as a technical authority for BESS safety, protections, and system integration decisions

• Partnering with R&D to develop, test, and refine new battery and containerised energy storage systems

• Supporting major C&I projects from design through commissioning and early operational support

What you bring

• Licensed electrician (unrestricted) with deep experience in battery energy storage systems, power systems, or complex electrical installations

• Significant hands-on experience with BESS, solar, HV or LV installations in commercial or industrial environments

• Deep understanding of Australian standards relevant to battery and energy storage systems (AS/NZS 5139, 3000, 4777)

• Comfortable testing live systems and making sound technical decisions in the field

• Clear communicator who can guide engineers, installers, and production teams
