Data Analyst at Cardihab: own dashboards, translate data into action, and advance cardiovascular care. Remote-first with Sydney team, meaningful health impact.
Data Analyst (Digital Health Platform)
Sydney | Hybrid (remote-first, weekly in-person)
At Cardihab, we’re helping people recover from and prevent cardiac events in ways that actually work for them.
We’ve built Australia’s first clinically proven digital therapeutic for cardiac rehabilitation. The evidence shows people live longer, healthier lives and the system delivers better-value care.
We’re already working with ~85% of Australia’s major health funds, have a TGA-registered product, and support thousands of patients with measurable outcomes.
Now we’re scaling and how we use data matters more than ever.
Why this role exists
As we grow, more decisions, both internally and externally, rely on data.
Clinicians, partners, and health funds need clear, credible reporting to understand outcomes and value. Internally, we need better visibility to guide product and operational decisions.
Right now, the data exists, but it’s not yet as structured, consistent, or accessible as it needs to be.
This role exists to change that.
You’ll take ownership of how data is surfaced, trusted, and used across Cardihab.
The role
This is more than reporting.
You’ll own the dashboards and data interfaces that power both our product and internal decision-making, from customer-facing reporting through to operational and clinical insights.
A core part of this role is making sure data is not just available, but accurate, consistent, and trusted.
You’ll work closely with the Chief Product Officer and engineering team to translate real-world needs into dashboards, APIs, and data structures that scale.
What you’ll own
Building and owning dashboards across program performance, patient engagement, and clinical outcomes
Developing clear, credible customer-facing reporting that demonstrates value
Working with product and customer teams to understand what data is needed and why
Designing internal dashboards that support operational and product decisions
Contributing to data interfaces and APIs that allow customers to access their data
Ensuring data quality and consistency through validation and QA
Automating reporting and reducing manual work across the business
Identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities across cohorts and performance
What success looks like
Dashboards are trusted and used daily across the business
Customer reporting is clear, credible, and reinforces product value
Data is consistent across all surfaces
Data quality issues are identified and resolved early
New data capabilities are proactively identified and delivered
What we’re looking for
3–5 years’ experience in data analysis, BI, or analytics engineering
Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data warehouses (Snowflake preferred)
Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, QuickSight, or similar)
Comfortable building dashboards end-to-end
Strong attention to detail and focus on data accuracy
Able to translate data into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders
Proactive and self-directed, you identify what should exist, not just what’s requested
Comfortable working in a startup where priorities evolve
Nice to have
Experience with healthcare or clinical data
Experience working with APIs or data delivery layers
Python or R
Familiarity with cohort analysis and engagement metrics
Who this works well for
Someone who enjoys owning the full data layer, not just analysis tasks
People who care about data quality as much as insight generation
Those who like building systems that others rely on daily
Individuals motivated by using data to improve real-world health outcomes
How we work
We’re a small, distributed team across Sydney, Brisbane, Tasmania, and the Philippines.
We’re practical, outcome-oriented, and not overly process-heavy.
People who do well here:
Take initiative without waiting
Are comfortable with ambiguity
Care about improving healthcare in a real way
If you need heavy structure, this won’t be the right fit.
If you want to own something meaningful and build it properly, it will be.
A note from us
As we scale, data becomes one of the most important parts of how we operate and how we demonstrate value.
This role is about building that foundation properly.
The dashboards, reporting, and data systems you create will directly shape how Cardihab makes decisions, supports customers, and grows over the next few years.
If that kind of ownership and impact is what you’re looking for, we’d love to hear from you.
